Antenatal Classes in Chorlton
The Nest Collective runs independent, small-group antenatal classes for expectant parents in Chorlton, Whalley Range and across south west Manchester. If you are looking for honest preparation, warm company, and a course that knows your area and not just generic advice, you are in the right place.
We welcome people from across M16, M21 and beyond, including Old Trafford, Whalley Range, Moss Side, Chorlton, Stretford, Didsbury, Hulme, Withington, and Fallowfield. Our Thursday evening sessions are designed to be easy to reach and worth the trip.
Antenatal classes built for south Manchester
Our five-week course runs on Thursday evenings, starting January 2027. Each session covers birth, feeding, early postnatal life and the practical things people wish they had known sooner, with plenty of time to ask questions and talk things through.
- FEDANT-accredited antenatal education, led by experienced practitioners
- Small groups so you actually get to know the other parents in your cohort
- Local knowledge: what's around in M16, M21 and nearby when you need feeding support, postnatal groups or specialist services
- A breastfeeding counsellor on the team, supporting breastfeeding, bottle and mixed feeding
We bring together evidence-based information and real conversation, so you can feel informed and able to make your own choices through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. See the full course outline for everything we cover week by week.

We meet at St Margaret's Playing Fields in M16, a short trip from Chorlton, Whalley Range, Old Trafford and surrounding south Manchester postcodes. All sessions are in person.
Can my partner come?
Yes. Birth partners, friends and family members are all welcome. Many people come with the person who will support them through labour and the early days.
How is this different from NHS or NCT classes?
We run small, local groups shaped around families in this area, with time for real conversation, FEDANT-accredited teaching, and a breastfeeding counsellor on the team. We sit alongside NHS care, not instead of it.
