Booking & cancellation
By booking a course with The Nest Collective, you agree to the terms below. If anything is unclear, contact us before you pay. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time you book applies unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
1. Who the booking is for
A standard booking is for two people: the expectant parent and one supporter (for example a birth partner, friend, or family member). If you would like to attend on your own, please get in touch as we can discuss a single-person rate where that applies.
2. Payment
- Paying for the course secures your place. Numbers are capped; we cannot hold a place without payment unless we have agreed that with you in advance.
- Unless we specify a different plan when you book, full payment is due no later than 14 days before the first session. If payment is not received by the deadline we set, we may cancel the booking and offer the place to someone else.
3. Cancellations & refunds (your booking)
- Refunds are available within 14 days of booking, provided the course has not yet started. After that, fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.
- If you stop attending part-way through, or miss sessions, that does not entitle you to a refund for unused sessions, unless we have agreed something different when you booked.
- If your baby is born before the course finishes and you have sessions left, please contact us as we will treat each situation fairly, but a refund is not automatic unless we have said so at booking.
- In genuinely exceptional circumstances, we may consider a partial credit or transfer at our discretion. Please email us as early as you can.
4. If we cancel, postpone, or change the course
- If we have to cancel a course (for example because too few people have booked), you will be offered a full refund or, where possible, a transfer to another course date.
- If a session is postponed because of illness, weather, or other circumstances outside our control, we will try to reschedule in person. If that is not possible, we may offer a recording of the material and/or another way to cover the content (for example a short follow-up session or Q&A), as we explain at the time.
- We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to dates, times, venue details, facilitators, or format where necessary. That will not give you an automatic refund if the overall course still delivers the same core education and support.
5. Missed sessions
If you cannot make a session, tell us as soon as you can. We can usually share session notes or slides so you do not miss the information entirely. Missed sessions are not refundable.
6. Transferring your booking
Bookings are not transferable to another household or another person unless we have agreed that in writing in advance.
7. Education only, not medical advice
- The course provides antenatal education and peer support. Facilitators are not acting as your clinician and do not provide medical advice.
- Anything shared in class is for general information. For decisions about your health or your baby's health, always speak to your midwife, GP, or another qualified professional.
8. WhatsApp, email & ongoing support
- We may offer follow-up contact (for example via WhatsApp or email) as described when you book. That support is offered at our discretion and is meant to be reasonable and good-natured, not a substitute for urgent or clinical care.
- Please respect boundaries and response times. Messages that are abusive, excessive, or inappropriate may mean we limit or withdraw that channel without notice.
9. Attendance, guests & group safety
- Unless we have said otherwise, you may bring one named supporter under your booking. Extra guests may only attend with our prior agreement, subject to space and the comfort of the group.
- You are responsible for your guest behaving respectfully. We aim for an inclusive, calm space; harmful or disruptive behaviour may mean we ask someone to leave.
10. Photography, video & recordings
- We may take occasional photographs or short clips for social media or marketing, in a respectful way. If you do not want to appear in images or footage, tell us as we will honour that.
- Where we provide recordings or materials for your own catch-up, those are for your personal use. Please do not share them in ways that identify other participants without their consent.
- Do not record sessions yourself without our prior permission, so everyone's privacy is protected.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Nest Collective does not accept liability for loss, injury, or damage connected with attending the course or using our materials, except where the law does not allow that exclusion. You take part voluntarily and are responsible for your own wellbeing and decisions.
12. Privacy
We use the details you give us at booking to run the course and stay in touch about it. We do not sell your data. For more detail, see our privacy policy (we will expand this as the site grows).
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by things outside our reasonable control (for example serious illness, extreme weather, venue closure, transport disruption, or public health measures). In those situations we will try to reschedule or offer a fair alternative; we are not obliged to refund if we can deliver the course another way, except where your statutory rights say otherwise.
14. Acceptance
Completing a booking means you have read these terms and accept them. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
